Who We Are!
The Border Riders Motorcycle Club “BRMC” is a not-for-profit 501(c)(7) organization for gay men who like to ride motorcycles and who like to go camping on their motorcycles. Our membership spans the Pacific Northwest with the greatest participation in the Portland, Seattle and Vancouver B.C. areas. We are one of the largest and longest-running gay motorcycle clubs in North America. We welcome like-minded guests to our Meet & Greets, day rides, and to our monthly meetings and summer campouts with a sponsoring BRMC member.

October Weekend Recap
The October meeting was held in Tampico Washington at Dennis H.’s ranch, also known as the Creek House. It’s always a great retreat, Dennis and Michael are a great host making sure everyone is well fed and comfortable for the long weekend.
Several of us showed up on Friday, some in cages others on steel horses, the remainder of the group showed up Saturday afternoon. The evenings were chilly, but the weather allowed for pitching tents, while others in a trailer or setting up cots in the garage.
The meals at the Creek House are always plentiful and delicious! No one ever walked away from table with an empty stomach. While Dennis always is in the kitchen, the food preparation was shared amongst many of us. Tom C did bring homemade apple pies which are always a treat!
Friday evening was pretty low key with dinner and conversation. On Saturday after breakfast, folks broke up and either went shopping in Yakama, took a day ride or went for a hike. All showed up back at the house in time for social hour while the kitchen was busy with meal prep. Dinner was had, followed by the meeting and then we dived into Toms award winning pies which are always tasty and delicious.
Sunday everyone gathered for the morning and chatted before breakfast. Once everyone was well fed and caffeinated, tents were broken down, trailer packed up and headed home. All in all, it was another great weekend with members and guests.

From the Handlebars of the President
Another year is rapidly drawing to a close with 2 events left this year – the November meeting will a Luau themed celebration.
December is our Annual Christmas Party, and we don’t do any business unless necessary. A fun part of the party is our “White Elephant Exchange” – we follow the white elephant rules, but the gifts are usually something a person would want rather than a gag gift or getting rid of something you don’t want. So, when you’re on Amazon or out shopping look at getting something for the party – something a motorcyclist or gay man would want. Think about something that would get “stolen” a bunch of times to make the evening fun. Price range of about $25.
I hope to see you at our upcoming events!

Road Captain Rumblings
Well, summer is most definitely gone! Be extra careful riding during the winter months. Especially with possible frost and ice hiding in little shady spots on the road. And don't let those sneaky little greasy leaves in the corners catch you by surprise. Still, I plan to get out and do some practicing of my slow speed skills and some easy day, rides on sunny and clear days coming up to the winter.
See you in November at Jerry and George's place.

Contributions of Photos & Stories
Please feel encouraged to send us your photos of our activities to News@BorderRiders.com. Please be aware that often your email client or and/or our storage system might downgrade the file size/image quality.
Club Archives - We are working hard to consolidate the digital archives. We recently added over 4,000 new photos going back to 2004, but there are still lots of gaps.
We need your help!!! Please consider scrubbing your image archives and submitting them to the club in the original size. This will help us complete the picture. (You will be given instructions on how to upload them to our Google Drive.)
Create folders if needed and include the year and month first, then your name. Event name is helpful but not required. For example:
2021 03 Seattle Day Run – Don Pics
2025 01 Don Pics
2025 02 Don Pics
Also, if you do anything interesting outside the club, we’d love to hear about it. Send us a short story with some photos and we will try get it into the next newsletter. It doesn’t have to be motorcycle related to be interesting. We are very diverse.
If you have photos and stories to share, please send to news@borderriders.com
