Who We Are!

The Border Riders Motorcycle Club “BRMC” is a not-for-profit 501(c)(7) organization for gay men who like to ride motorcycles and who like to go camping on their motorcycles. Our membership spans the Pacific Northwest with the greatest participation in the Portland, Seattle and Vancouver B.C. areas. We are one of the largest and longest-running gay motorcycle clubs in North America. We welcome like-minded guests to our Meet & Greets, day rides, and to our monthly meetings and summer campouts with a sponsoring BRMC member.

April 2025 Meeting Recap

In April we met at the new home of Kas C. and Chris M. in Vancouver, WA. Afternoon weather was lovely so several members and guests rode in. Club Historian Don W. brought photo albums from years past that everyone enjoyed.

Along with the great weather we had a nice meal thanks to Kas and Chris. It included delicious tamale pies, salad, snacks and dessert. There was also a club meeting, as one might expect at one of these events.

May 2025 Day Rides

Seattle

For the May Seattle Day Ride we will be taking a trip down to Portland to join some of our Southern Brothers at the One Moto Show taking place at the Zidell Yards.

The One Moto Show has tickets available on their website. Purchase a General Admission ticket for the 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM window. You will need to pre-purchase your tickets.

For the ride down, meet before 8:00 AM at the Dutch Brothers Coffee stand in Fife located at 5314 Pacific Hwy E, Fife WA 98424.

Please arrive with a full tank of fuel (there is a Shell and Chevron on the other side of I5 from Dutch Bros). We will be kickstands up at 8:00 AM and headed south at speed limit plus 5-10 mph. It is approximately 160 miles to the Portland downtown waterfront.

Due to the distance of the ride, we recommend that you find lodging for the night, and we can discuss options for a group ride home on Sunday while hanging out at the show.

Portland

For Portland’s May day ride we will meet at 11:45 at the ticket counter for the ONE Motorcycle Show at Zidell Yards. Purchase a Saturday 12pm-3pm general admission ticket at the show’s website.

Victoria Day Campout

Register Today

The BRMC 2025 Victoria Day Weekend Campout is May 15-19 at Pine Flats Campground (USFS) near Ardenvoir, WA.

Registration opens on Thursday 5/1 and closes on Wednesday 5/14.

VICTORIA DAY RUN

Once again the Victoria Day Campout will be the kickoff event to the riding season. As in previous years, this celebration takes place at the Pine Flats Campground, located near Ardenvoir, Washington and managed by the US Forest Service. This location has become a beloved spot for us and an excellent starting point for day trips around central Washington.

As in previous years, we will transport a complete kitchen to the site and offer dinner on Friday night, breakfast Saturday morning, a barbecue dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning. The registration fee covers these meals, campsite and if firewood.

All vehicles are welcome at this event, so don't hesitate to invite your member-sponsored non-riding relatives and friends. If you need to bring a large tent that won't fit on your bike, one of our support vehicles can transport it for you. However, we ask that you refrain from bringing RVs as they are not allowed at the group campsite. Although cages are permitted, we are a motorcycle club and would love to see bikers on bikes. Lastly, please note that this is a no-pets event.

We will have a generator onsite, normally running just for coffee in the morning. Canopies will be set up over the campground’s long table for dining. Bring a camp chair if you want to sit on something other than the benches and stumps around the campfire.

The Victoria Day Run officially opens on Friday, May 16th, but many attendees like to arrive a day early and help with setup. If you're planning to arrive on Thursday and lend a hand, we sincerely appreciate it! We will begin unloading the storage locker at 3:00 PM on Thursday to give early riders an opportunity to stop by and support the crew before heading to the campsite. The storage locker is located at S&S Mini Storage, 14909 Hwy 97-A, Entiat, WA 98822. If the gate is closed when you arrive, just honk your horn and someone will open it for you.

Registration opens on Thursday, May 1st at 8:00 am and will close at midnight on Wednesday, May 14th. This year, the regular registration fees are $170 for US Members, $123 USD for Canadian Members, $180 for US Guests (sponsors required) and $130 USD for Canadian Guests (sponsors required). From the Handlebars of the President

May marks the beginning of our riding season with the annual Victoria Day Campout at Pine Flats. This is our only open event, so if you have gay friends who like to camp even if they don’t ride, invite them. More people around the campfire makes for more fun. It is however tent camping, so no motorhomes, trailers or campers.

Hope to see many members and guests for the weekend. Guests – if you need a sponsor contact one of the members or a board member.
